We Need Your Help!
The holidays will be here before we know it. As you’re making grocery lists for your meals and get togethers, please consider adding a few items to contribute to our Food Drive benefiting San Diego Food Bank.
To understand the importance of the work the Food Bank does, consider this statistic: In the fiscal year 2017 – 2018, the Food Bank distributed 28 million pounds of food – the equivalent of 23.3 million meals. Of that number, 9.5 million pounds was fresh produce*.
Help us support San Diegans in need this winter. Here are the most requested food items:
- Canned meat (low sodium)
- Canned fruit (look for lower sugar varieties)
- Canned vegetables (low sodium)
- Canned beans
- Soup (low sodium)
- Peanut butter
- Almond butter
- Brown and Wild rice
- Infant formula
Here are the most requested non-food items:
- Pet food
- Non-toxic cleaning supplies
- Feminine hygiene products
- Bath and body products
We are NOT able to accept donations that are in glass containers, foods that are homemade or alcohol. Please keep food separate from non-food items.
How To Donate
If you’re unable to make it to the spa to drop of your items, we’re also hosting a Virtual Food Drive! Just follow the link to the food bank page and choose the items you’d like to donate.
We are collecting donation items THROUGH Dec. 19, 2019 at our Mission Hills location.
For questions or more information, or to schedule a donation drop-off after hours, please call 619.249.4323.
