Hello, October 🍂

We’re cautiously optimistic that cooler weather is finally on the way!

Around Firefly Spa, there isn’t complete agreement on what defines the season. Some of us are firmly team pumpkin, while others are reaching for evergreen scents and cozy cabin vibes. One thing we all agree on? We love this time of year!

We’re also officially counting down to the End of Daylight Savings. While the earlier sunsets aren’t everyone’s favorite, we’re embracing the cozy side of the season: candlelit evenings, warm drinks, and a little more time to slow down. Fall is the perfect time for the treatments many of us avoid during the heat of summer. As temperatures cool, we’re finally booking the microneedling, chemical peels, and microcurrent treatments we’ve been putting off for months!

October invites us to embrace a slower pace, reconnect with family and friends, and make a little extra room for self-care—and we’re here for all of it. ✨

October Wellness & Community Spotlight

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It’s difficult to find someone whose life hasn’t been touched by breast cancer. Whether it’s a friend, family member, coworker, patient, survivor, or caregiver, this month reminds us of the strength and resilience within our community.

If you’re over 40, talk with your healthcare provider about annual mammograms and be sure you’re current with recommended screenings. This month is also an opportunity to support those navigating treatment, recovery, caregiving, and life after diagnosis. Sometimes a simple meal, ride, text, or check-in can make a meaningful difference.

Kids Free San Diego

Throughout October, children 12 and under receive free admission to participating attractions with the purchase of qualifying adult admission. It’s a great reason to get out and explore San Diego with family and friends!

Día de los Muertos in Old Town

Experience the beauty and tradition of Día de los Muertos in Old Town San Diego. Colorful altars, cultural displays, art, and community celebrations create a meaningful way to honor loved ones and experience this cherished tradition.
