Why do I need to provide a credit card when booking an appointment?
We require a credit card to hold the reservation, but there will be no charge at the time of booking. For your convenience, our front desk staff will be able to charge your card after your session and add a gratuity, if you prefer.
Do I need to take off all my clothes for a massage?
No, you do not have to remove all of your clothing for a massage. We will have a sheet to keep you covered throughout the massage, other than the area in which your therapist is working. We want you to be as comfortable as possible, so you are welcome to wear whatever it may be that helps you feel most at ease on the massage table.
Can I get a massage with a fresh tattoo?
Our therapists are able to work around fresh tattoos or other areas that you may want us to avoid. Please let your therapist know prior to your session if there are specific areas you want to focus on or to ignore.
How long does a facial take?
Most Firefly facials take approximately 60 minutes, including our Firefly Signature Facial. We also offer an Extended Facial (approximately 90 minutes), and an Express Facial (a 30-minute treatment). Visit our Skincare Services page to learn more about our skincare treatments and upgrades.
What's the difference between microdermabrasion and dermaplaning?
For our microdermabrasion facial, our licensed estheticians will use a diamond-tipped microdermabrasion machine to remove the outer layer of skin. During a dermaplaning treatment, our licensed estheticians will use an exfoliating blade to resurface the skin and remove unwanted “peach fuzz” hair.
Will my skin peel with a chemical peel?
Our chemical peel treatments do not always cause physical peeling on the surface of the skin, and there is minimum downtime.
How long does my hair have to be for a bikini wax?
Ideally, your hair should be around ¼ inch in length at the time of your appointment. This is the average length of hair after three weeks following your last shave.
Do you have parking?
There is one parking space in the driveway marked “Suite A” (on the left) that is first-come first-served for clients so if it’s open, it’s yours! If not, there is street parking available and you should be able to find something within a two block radius (free and metered.)
Can I bring my dog?
We do not allow pets of any kind in our treatment rooms.
Can I bring my kids?
A parent or guardian must be present in the room during the treatment when the client is under 18 years of age.
Can I bring a stroller?
Our treatment rooms are not quite big enough to accommodate a stroller and allow the therapist or esthetician to move around the table for a massage or facial, so we do not recommend bringing your little ones unless there is another adult to keep an eye on them in our front waiting area.
