Spa Going Made Simple: How to Get the Most Out of Your Visit to Firefly
We want you to relax and unwind when you come to Firefly. So your spa visit should be as stress-free as possible. Here are some of our recommendations to make it easy to savor your spa day.
Clear Your Schedule and Book in Advance
Your relaxation won’t last long if you have to rush back to work or get errands done right after your massage. You also don’t want to arrive harried and late to an appointment, making it harder to wind down. Pick a date when you have some free time on both ends of your appointment (at least 15 minutes before the treatment starts and an hour or so afterward). Once you have a date in mind, our streamlined online scheduler makes booking appointments a snap!
Membership Has Its Privileges
Regular massages, facials, acupuncture, and other treatments can support your mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Maintain a regular wellness schedule with our spa membership packages. We have different memberships that allow you to choose one treatment a month, at a specially discounted price (and member pricing also applies to any additional treatments you want to schedule).
Communicate Clearly
Your spa visit is all about you, so you should never hesitate to tell us your likes and dislikes. Perhaps you want a heated table for your massage, a music-free treatment room, or fragrance-free massage oil. We’re here to listen to you! And it’s especially important that you let your esthetician know about any allergies, injuries, or other health concerns so we can modify your treatment accordingly. Communication on the front end makes sure we’re all on the same page so you can reap all the benefits of your treatment!
Come As You Are
You don’t need to dress up fancy or put on airs when you go to the spa. It’s helpful to come to your appointment free of makeup, perfumes, or lotions so your body is ready for treatment. We also advise clients to wear loose, comfortable clothes when they come to Firefly (especially if they’re getting a spray tan). If you’re tanning or getting a massage, we also suggest leaving your jewelry at home, too.
Unplug to Unwind
Of course, you won’t bring your phone into the massage room, but the same should hold true for the waiting room prior to treatment. The moments before your appointment set the tone for peaceful relaxation (and that’s really hard to achieve if you’re checking your texts or emails!). And don’t hurry to get on your phone and check messages after your treatment ends. How often during your busy days do you get uninterrupted moments to reflect and recharge? This is your time, so make the most of it!
