No matter how hard you try—the multiple coats of mascara you brush on, or the precious minutes you spend each morning boosting volume with a lash curler—your lashes don’t look as full and fluttery as you’d like. Well, I can tell you that the secret to lush-looking lashes doesn’t involve any of that painstaking work—you just need to book an appointment for lash extensions at Firefly!
Our new service is designed to give you lashes that beautifully frame your eyes. And these aren’t one-size-fits-all extensions. We customize your lashes to best enhance your features. We start with a choice of three “shapes:”
- Natural: A subtle look that enhances your real lash line.
- Cat-Eye: The lashes gradually and gracefully get longer as they move from the inner to the outer corner of the eye.
- Doll-Eye: If you want your eyes to appear more open, this choice is for you, with longer lashes in the center tapering to shorter ones in both corners of the eyes.
From there, you can consult with Deb, our lash artist, to determine the thickness and length that will work for you. Classic-style lashes are applied one at a time as a true extension of your natural lashes. Our Hybrid style combines individual extensions with fan clusters for heightened drama.
After you start with a full set of lash extensions, you should plan on a fill appointment every 14 to 18 days for optimal upkeep. (This means that we only replace lashes as needed, rather than starting all over from scratch if you go too long between appointments.)
When you book your lash extension service at Firefly, we make sure you have plenty of time to discuss the look you want with our lash artist. Come with makeup-free (and contact lens-free) eyes and just lay back and relax while the extensions are applied. (You may want to skip your morning coffee beforehand to keep your eyelids from fluttering!) The entire process takes about two hours.
After your extensions are in place, keep the area dry for 24 to 48 hours and avoid any eyelash-related makeup or beauty tools, or oil-based products. And above all, be gentle: Clean the lash extensions with baby shampoo, brush them daily with the spoolies we provide, and don’t tug or pull on your new lashes.
