Need a Medical Massage? Firefly is Here to Help
It’s OK if you feel stressed out at times after almost a year of living with the COVID-19 pandemic, and all of the guidelines and regulations that come along with that. A massage would be ideal for relieving stress and bringing you back in balance…but it may seem impossible to book one right now during the coronavirus spike. If you’re in need of massage therapy for your physical or mental well-being, Firefly is here to help.
However, you can still take advantage of all the benefits massage has to offer. The state of California called for the temporary closure of personal care businesses and salons as part of December’s Regional Stay at Home Order. But these same guidelines also allow providers to continue offering massage for therapeutic medical purposes.
This decision recognizes the impact massage therapy can have on health and wellness. It can ease the symptoms associated with physical conditions such as fibromyalgia, insomnia, chronic headaches, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), and injuries or aches and pains caused by intense athletic events.
Massage also plays a huge role in stress relief. It calms the mind and body and alleviates the effects of living with lots of stress, such as tense and achy muscles, rapid heart rate, and elevated blood pressure. It also can calm the emotional and mental havoc caused by stress or other conditions, such as anxiety.
At Firefly, we understand the important role massage can play in maintaining a vibrant state of well-being. That’s why we offer massage for medical or therapeutic needs. All you need to do is let us know that you’re seeking massage at the recommendation of a medical professional. We’re happy to work with you on selecting the right type of massage for your health needs, and all of our therapists are highly skilled at customizing massages for each client, combining a variety of massage strokes and techniques to get you the desired results. We want you to feel renewed and restored at the end of your massage session.
You can also rest assured that we follow strict safety protocols during all of our massage therapy sessions. Our policies have been guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the California Massage Therapy Council, and the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Throughout the pandemic, we’ve added enhanced cleaning procedures, cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms and common areas between each client appointment. We’ve asked all clients to wait outside the spa until their therapist comes to get them for their appointment, and all employees and clients get temperature checks before entering our building. We also require masks for everyone inside the spa.
Your health and wellness are our highest priority. We want you to feel safe during your treatment so you can relax and get the maximum benefit. Contact us today to learn more about therapeutic medical massage or book an appointment.
